Velma Poe's journey in ministry began in 1989 (Petersburg, Virginia), a response to a prophetic calling that resonated deeply within her. Initially, her ministry took root at home in Virginia, extending to military base housing where she led afternoon prayer and weekly Bible study for the youth residing there. She was recognized and ordained as a prophet in full time ministry in 1991 in Omaha Nebraska at Agape Christian Fellowship. This calling set the course for a life dedicated to spiritual service and community enrichment.
During the beginning of her ministry, she served as a pastor in Omaha, Nebraska for eight years. In this capacity, she offered spiritual leadership, guidance, and pastoral care to those in her congregation. She also extended her reach into the lives of vulnerable youth as a behavioral interventionist at Blackburn Senior Alternative School in Omaha, a position she held for five years. Offering a listening ear and a supportive presence to those in need.
In 2001, Poe further solidified her commitment to compassionate care by obtaining her chaplain's license at Emmanuel Hospital in Omaha. This credential equipped her with specialized skills to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and hospital staff. Her role evolved further when she took on the responsibility of Mentor Coordinator at Release Ministries, also located in Omaha, Nebraska. In this capacity, she was instrumental in establishing and nurturing mentor-mentee relationships, providing vital guidance and support to individuals as they navigated various life transitions and challenges.
Velma Poe's life is characterized by a deep and unwavering commitment to personal ministry. Her focus is on individuals who have been called and chosen into ministry within the five-fold leadership positions by God and offering spiritual guidance and practical support to individuals facing life's complexities and decisions pertaining to the church and Body of Believers. Her approach is marked by a profound sense of empathy, rooted in a genuine understanding and compassion for the struggles that others encounter. This deep-seated empathy fuels her unwavering desire to assist individuals and families in finding direction, hope, and effective solutions to their difficulties. She dedicates herself to being a source of strength and comfort, offering a listening ear and a supportive presence to those in need.
Actively traveling, speaking, and ministering nationwide, she is the founder of Kingdom Voice Ministries, whose emphasis is on leadership development and the understanding of the Ascension gifts, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. She ensures individuals feel valued, supported, and connected to the body of Christ and the community of believers. Her mission is to foster a deeper understanding of faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, empowering them to grasp their God-given purpose in the kingdom of God. Leading by example, she demonstrates the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, manifesting faith in action. Through the Word of God, anointed and empowered by divine grace, she shifts atmospheres and brings about change with the love of God.

Kingdom Voice Ministries, founded in 2003 by Velma T. Poe in Omaha, Nebraska, serves as a prophetic voice for those seeking God's guidance. Through prophetic insight, leadership development, and spiritual revelation, KVM equips and empowers individuals to recognize and understand God's voice through the prophetic gifts bestowed by His grace.
